Let's make tonight the brightest Carols yet!Every Christmas Eve, Australians come together to celebrate the spirit of Christmas and community. This generosity extends to children who are blind or have low vision like Gemma, whose lives are changed thanks to your kind donations.Gemma was only five months old when she was diagnosed with congenital glaucoma, and underwent four procedures to save what they could of her vision. This has left Gemma with limited functional vision and can see only rough shapes and colours from her left eye.Now, aged eight, Gemma receives valuable support from Vision Australia who assist her with her mobility, dexterity and increasing her independence.Gemma’s mum Nova sums it up by saying “We are so proud of the milestones that Gemma has achieved over the years and it’s truly thanks to the support from Vision Australia, I believe Gemma can live whatever type of life she wants to lead.”Support like yours provides Gemma and her family with invaluable support to prepare her for school and increase her independence.Your donation will be added as a star to recognise how your kind gift will light up lives.Carols by Candlelight presented by AAMI is Vision Australia's largest annual fundraiser for children's services.
