This year’s event will feature a special tribute to the B-movie exploits of  actor/musician/pilot/writer Arch Hall Jr., with the screening of  60's cult classics, Eegah!,  The Sadist, and Wild Guitar,  introductions and in-depth discussions with Hall and special guests, and  selected excerpts from other films including The Choppers and Deadwood ‘76. Master Archivist Joe Lauro of Historic Films will return with a mondo blend of found footage and his annual performance compilation featuring Heroes of the Stomp. More details to come! A mechanical failure of a cast aluminum rudder pedal led to an unplanned runway excursion that sent me into a ditch resulting in a nose over on it's back. This particular aircraft had no roll bar or supporting structure other than it's vertical fin to protect the pilot from such mishaps. Just the plexiglass bubble canopy which exploded, so to say that I was extremely lucky to have survived is a gross understatement.  I was trapped under the overturned aircraft for seveal harrowing minutes awaiting rescue by volunteer good samaritans directed by my son Jeff Hall (a former Deputy Sheriff)   ~Arch http://www.sfbg.com/2010/08/17/lights-out 9/4/10 received word that Arch will  be attending CHILLER EXPO October 29-31   Limited autographed copies of both FilmFax magazine issues containing the "TWO ARCHES"  TWO Part interview by Jan Alan Henderson *Click on "Stuff"
