As a self described mercenary craftsman. Scott is a genuine creative professional for hire. His company Cain Design and Construction, LLC. Cain allows him to serve his small community as a residential property designer, remodeler, Holiday lighting display designer, and occasional photographer. Scott owns a degree in Industrial Design from the University of Illinois at Chicago, School of Art and Design. He has made photography a lifelong creative outlet to balance his other professional and creative endeavors. As an industrial designer, Scott’s portfolio includes toys, product packaging, medical devices, and retail store fixtures. He is an award winning zymurgist (brewer of beer) as well as builder and co-founder of the former Northport Brewing, now known as the Mitten. Scott, currently in his fifth career, brings 30 plus years of experience to the building industry in Northern Michigan. A native to Chicago, Scott has chosen Northport, Michigan, as his home. He lives in a small village at the tip of the Leelanau peninsula with his wife Pamela, children Colin and Maisie, and dogs Josie and Cash.
