History We wanted to get authentic Indian cuisine to Asheville and were looking for a spot with high footfall. Downtown seemed a perfect area due to the tourists visiting during the season and the locals during the slow times. We were lucky to find the location we’re at and then started the story. We put together a team which believed in itself and did not compromise on quality and standard. Mehfil won a number of rewards in the first year including the best Indian restaurant from Best of Avl. We have a great team and are grateful to the community for the encouragement and support that we receive.   Present Nestled in the heart of downtown Asheville, Mëhfil is a restaurant that brings you authentic Indian food in a beautifully relaxed atmosphere, decorated with authentic fabrics, carvings and statues imported from India. Come enjoy a casual meal with friends or a celebration with your loved ones. Either way, you'll be taken care of by our knowledgeable and friendly team. We take pride in what we serve and how we serve it - Good food and Great Service. Apart from the awards won by us in a short period of two years, what makes us stand out is our Tandoor - The clay oven. We have some of the best tandoori dishes in the area and our lamb chops, tandoori fish, malai kebab and seekh kebab are a must try.   Updates Update Aug 2023-Mehfil has been awarded the Best Restaurant Downtown by BestofAvl. Update Dec 2023-We have started Mow, Mehfil on Wheels, it is the only food truck serving Indian food in the area. Mow has a personality of its own and likes to go to breweries and wineries. You can call him to your community as well.
