The whole credit must go to intellectual soul late shri Ranjitaray Gangashankar Shastri and his excellent vision.With their foresight of development of Pharmaceutical field and time based need of Pharmacists in society and industry, this college was thought to be established by late shri Ranjitary Gangashankar Shastri. Khambhat being their Native and resident of Mumbai, Smt. Vidhyaben Parikh helped in lying stepping stone and establishing the college by donating Rs. 2,51,000/- (Rs. Two lakh fiftyone thousand) in reminiscence of her husband late shri Mohanlal Narandas Parikh in 1970.
