Open Arms Outreach Ministries located at 2401 SE 11th St., has made it our mission to put God first and focus on the needs of our community. Our ministry provides community support by offering transitional housing, clothing bank, household items, hosting a monthly food bank through Harvesters, and we also serve as a COVID testing and vaccination site. On Dec 15, due to extreme weather conditions, parts of our church’s roof was blown off, leaving behind devastating damages. We have exhausted all of our avenues to secure funding and with the colder months approaching, the roof damage is threatening our ability to provide a warm & safe place to live for community members in need. Founder & Lead Pastor of the church Superintendent S.C. Mitchell has been a very active and influential leader within the community for almost two decades now and is doing all he can to ensure that our ministry remains a safe haven for the community. We are seeking donations from the community to help reach our goal of $100,000.00 for roof repairs so that we can continue to provide these services.
