PRANTIK SEVA TRUST is a public charitable organisation of Kolkata catering to education, healthcare and basic needs for under privileged children and adults of our society. PST is also a premier socio-cultural centre for preserving the rich cultural heritage of India. The multifarious activities of PST are formulated and managed by a Board of Trustees.PST runs a free study centre and giving scholarships, books, uniforms, etc. to needy students. Providing education for the economically weaker sections is a key focus area for PST. Having good study material, stationery and books is a luxury which is not affordable for many of the children. This is why PST decided to distribute these on a regular basis. Apart from that, books and uniforms are distributed to needy students and clothes are distributed to poor people. The charitable activity of PST includes giving medical aid to the economically weaker sections of the society, distributing food, clothes and blankets to people living in abject poverty below the poverty line. There are individuals and organizations providing selfless service to the underprivileged and weaker sections of society away from the limelight. PST has time and again come to the support of such entities by providing financial aid. Nourishment for school-going children from financially challenged families poses health hazards for them. PST has a program for providing midday meals to school children in villages. Since we have limited resources, we want deserving people to get the benefits directly from trust.
